Karakteristik Lendutan Raket Tenis Akibat Kontak Dengan Bola

Abstract

Kontak antara bola dengan raket tenis adalah fenomena tumbukan benda. Bola memberikan gaya pada raket yang menyebabkan defleksi atau lendutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan karakteristik lendutan raket tenis akibat kontak dengan bola. Penelitian dilakukan dengan eksperimen menggunakan raket merk Kinetik. Raket ditumpu jepit di bagian pegangan. Bola yang digunakan adalah merk Nassau dengan massa 0,058 kg. Bola dikondisikan jatuh bebas dengan tinggi jatuh divariasikan sebesar 1, 2 dan 3 meter, dengan 3 titik jatuh di bidang senar raket. Pengukuran lendutan menggunakan metode pena yang diposisikan di 5 titik pengukuran di rangka raket. Lima titik diatur berurutan dari pegangan raket dengan jarak antara 6 cm. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan 3 kali ulangan untuk mendapatkan nilai rata-rata. Pengukuran defleksi dilakukan menggunakan jangka sorong dengan tingkat ketelitian 0,01 mm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lendutan memiliki karakteristik yang linier dan tergantung pada momentum bola.
