Empleo Informal, Políticas Públicas y Buen Vivir: El Caso de Rocafuerte, Ecuador

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las políticas públicas laborales en Ecuador en los últimos 15 años, enfocándose en los procesos del Buen Vivir relacionados con el trabajo digno. Se describen las acciones implementadas para mejorar las condiciones laborales, muchas alineadas con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de la ONU. El empleo informal en Ecuador sigue siendo un desafío, afectando de manera desigual a las provincias, con trabajadores sin seguridad social y en condiciones precarias. A pesar de ello, el gobierno ha adoptado medidas como la mejora del salario básico unificado y la promoción de un empleo digno. En este artículo vamos a explorar cómo, en el cantón Rocafuerte, coexisten la formalidad y la informalidad laboral, con estrategias municipales que se alejan de las políticas nacionales.
