The article is devoted to the problem of forming the trusting attitude of senior preschoolers to adults, and specifically to the study of the levels of trusting attitude of senior preschoolers to adults.The author of the article analyzed psychological and pedagogical research on the topic; methodical approaches to the assessment of various types of personal trust are considered. The author of the article paid special attention to the structure of trust and the main components of trust, to the factors that determine children’s trust: sympathy and friendship.The author’s method of diagnosis is described, which consists of a complex of complementary methods (blitz questionnaire, observation of children and adults, creation of imaginary and real problem situations, analysis and solving of game tasks, conversations with children, parents and educators) and stages of scientific research; defined criteria and theirindicators, established three levels of formation of each of the structural components of older preschoolers’ trusting attitude towards adults: high, medium, low.
