Abstract

Questionando a existência de conflitos éticos na assistência à saúde deanimais de estimação acometidos de doenças sem perspectiva de cura,objetivou-se avaliar a percepção das vulnerabilidades por tutores, protetores emédicos veterinários. A análise da questão sob a perspectiva da Bioética visoua promoção de meios para amparar a tomada de decisão. Para tal, foramrealizados grupos focais em espaços deliberativos virtuais. A falas dosparticipantes foram categorizadas por meio da análise de conteúdo nos eixos:fragilidades, valores/princípios, crenças e potencialidades atestando a hipótesede que a Bioética pode ser tomada como uma ferramenta na intermediação dodiálogo e na desmistificação do enfretamento dos cuidados paliativos e daeutanásia em animais de companhia.
