Abstract

Cieľom článku je predstaviť vedeckej verejnosti výskum a zistené poznatky o zaniknutom hrade Peťuša a polemizovať o jeho postmedieválnom využívaní. Vrcholno- a neskorostredoveký hrad oválneho pôdorysu (40 × 20 m) sa nachádza pri Zvolene vo vizuálnej vzdialenosti od kráľovského Pustého hradu. Archeologický výskum na lokalite realizuje od roku 2011 Katedra archeológie Univerzity Konštantína Filozofa v Nitre. K tomuto sídlu zatiaľ nie sú známe takmer žiadne písomné alebo ikonografické pramene. Hrad obkolesuje mohutná kamenná obvodová hradba. Na nádvorí boli doposiaľ objavené pozostatky hlavne drevohlinitej, menej kamennej architektúry. Výstavbu sídla datujeme na základe bohatej materiálnej kultúry do záveru 13. storočia. Jeho najväčší rozkvet je badateľný v závere stredoveku v 14. a 15. storočí, v priebehu ktorého zaniká. Výnimku objavenú vo vrchnej kultúrnej vrstve tvorí jedna rekonštruovateľná novoveká nádoba zo 16. storočia. Taktiež sa objavili jasné indície, že z pôvodného kamennými segmentmi obloženého valcového plášťa cisterny boli po zániku hradu postupne vyťažené a z hradu zrejme odnášané opracované kamene.
