DYNAMICS OF WOOD QUALITY INDICATORS IN DAMAGED PINE STANDS OF THE VLADIMIR REGION

Abstract

The study raises the question of methods for quality assessing and use of wood obtained from sanitary logging. Eleven windfall areas were surveyed. 142 model pine trees were measured. The described defects are ranked according to their occurrence and the degree of their negative effect on wood quality. The dynamics of decrease in wood quality has been revealed depending on time elapsed since stand damage.
