Abstract

Este artigo irá incidir sobre a abertura dos videojogos a um conjunto diversificado de experimentações comunicativas. Para isso será elaborada uma pequena reflexão com o propósito de defender os videojogos como parte integrante da nossa cultura e como meio que consegue expandir o conceito de literacia. Com o apoio teórico da semiótica e tendo em conta o potencial comunicativo que os videojogos demonstram cada vez mais, serão igualmente explorados importantes conceitos como negociação e desconstrução. Nesse sentido, iremos explorar diversos significantes presentes nos videojogos mais recentes de modo a podermos entender os seus significados como um todo funcional, interativo e imersivo, podendo, assim, contribuir com uma perspectiva mais abrangente em relação a temas de debate não só emergentes como necessários para uma melhor compreensão do desenvolvimento e amadurecimento de uma indústria repleta de profissionais das mais variadas áreas do conhecimento.
