Abstract

Reverberations is a World War II poem cycle consisting of forty-six poems and is focused specifically on Poland, Germany, and Russia. In addition, there are poems referencing the United States of America, China, and Japan. The cycle is based on historic events, real people, and composite people that could have existed. The cycle merges the past with the narrator's present. The narrator and her guide are meant to direct and interpret the historical poems and weave them into a greater significance.
