Abstract

La trascripción de un cuento realizada por los hermanos Grimm, en Alemania, presenta una interpretación de las edades, según la cual, Dios había asignado 30 años de vida al hombre y a todos los animales; el asno, el perro, el mono, consiguieron que Dios les quitara 18, 12 y 10 años respectivamente, a la cifra fijada, pues una vida tan larga les parecía penosa. El hombre, según el cuento, pidió una prolongación; obtuvo los 18 años del asno, los 12 del perro y los 10 del mono. En consecuencia, el hombre tiene 70 años de vida.
