The male urethra can be divided into two different portions -The Posterior urethra and the Anterior urethra.The Posterior urethra consist of the membranous and the prostatic part and the Anterior urethra includes the navicularis, penile and bulbous region and is surrounded by corpus spongiosum. Urethral strictures are an old affliction of mankind and can be defined as “a decrease in the caliber of the urethra due to a scar resulting from tissue injury or inflammation” Usually, fibrosis involves the corpus spongiosum also.
