Análise da Precisão de Estimativas de Projetos de Software Utilizando Redes Bayesianas

Abstract

Empresas de desenvolvimento de software encontram dificuldades em estimar o tempo para o desenvolvimento de seus projetos. Uma dessas dificuldades é a falta de recursos para investir em melhoria de processos e consequentemente na formação de uma base histórica consistente de medidas de projetos. Este artigo tem como objetivo avaliar o uso de Redes Bayesianas para verificar a precisão e apoiar a decisão de executar um refinamento de estimativas de projetos de software em suas fases iniciais. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória utilizando base de dados de projetos de desenvolvimento. Foi possível calcular a probabilidade de corretude das estimativas, indicando a necessidade de um refinamento.
