Uso de uréia e ionóforos na suplementação de bezerros desmamados

Abstract

A nutrição, induvidavelmente, é o parâmetro de manejo que mais altera a idade ao abate de bovinos sendo assim, em nossas condições climáticas de seca e a estacionalidade de produção de forrageira, limita a disponibilidade de nutrientes, exigindo suplementação alimentar. Uma estratégia de suplementação adequada seria aquela destinada a melhorar o uso da forragem, maximizando o consumo e a digestibilidade da forragem disponível. Os ionóforos mais utilizados para ruminantes são a monensina sódica produzido pela cepa de bactéria (Streptomyces cinnamonensis) nome comercial Rumensin Elanco e a lasalocida sódica produzida pela cepa de bactéria (Streptomyces lasaliensis) nome comercial Taurotec. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o uso de ionóforos (lasalocida e monensina) e a uréia, na suplementação protéica de bezerros Nelores, machos e fêmeas na fase de recria durante o período seco. O ensaio foi conduzido na Fazenda Sol Nascente, localizado no município e comarca de Caarapó (MS). Adotou-se o delineamento inteiramente casualizado (DIC), com os tratamentos arranjados em um esquema fatorial 2 x 4, sexo, e quatro tipos de aditivos na suplementação protéica (sem aditivo, uréia, lasalocida e monensina), totalizando 8 tratamentos com 12 repetições. Analisando-se os ganhos médios diários no período total do ensaio não foram observadas diferenças estatísticas entre os animais suplementados com os aditivos (P> 0,05), indistintamente do sexo e considerando-se o aspecto de custo, o tratamento proteinado mais uréia mostrou-se o mais viável.
