Salud sexual y reproductiva en adolescentes escolarizados

Abstract

Objetivo: analizar la salud sexual y reproductiva del adolescente de acuerdo con la edad y género. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 215 adolescentes de 15 a 18 años. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron un cuestionario de datos sociodemográficos y el cuestionario Salud Sexual y Reproductiva. Resultados: Predominó el género masculino 51.6%; 63.3% de los adolescentes no ha tenido relaciones sexuales. De acuerdo con las dimensiones de la salud sexual por sexo las mujeres presentan mayor puntaje en los dominios conocimiento (31.38), actitud (45.33) y práctica (38.29). En relación con la salud reproductiva los hombres presentan mayor puntaje que las mujeres en los dominios conocimiento (42.35) y práctica (44.67). Existe una relación significativa entre la salud sexual y la salud reproductiva (p <0.01). Conclusiones: es crucial implementar políticas y programas que promuevan los servicios de salud sexual y reproductiva y protejan los derechos de los adolescentes.
