Stabilisasi Tanah Gambut Dengan Menggunakan Campuran Semen Terhadap Nilai CBR

Abstract

Tanah gambut merupakan material organik yang berasal dari tumbuhan dan terbentuk dalam tanah basah yang berubah secara kimia akibat pengaruh cuaca dan kondisi topografi. Material organik yang terkandung didalam tanah gambut mempunyai daya dukung yang relatif rendah dan memiliki kompresibiltas yang sangat besar, sehingga jika menerima atau memikul beban yang besar diatasanya akan terjadi penurunan yang besar dalam waktu yang relatif pendek, maka masalah penurunan yang besar menjadi masalah utama bagi struktur kontruksi jalan yang akan dibangun diatasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penambahan daya dukung tanah dari segi nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR). Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboraturium, dengan melakukan pengujian sifat - sifat fisis tanah dan sifat - sifat mekanis tanah. Dalam hal ini untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut perlu dilakukan metode stabilisasi tanah dengan semen terhadap nilai California Bearing Ratio sebagai nilai yang menyatakan kualitas tanah dan juga salah satu parameter dalam menentukan kemampuan tanah dalam memikul beban struktur kontruksi jalan. Dari hasil penelitian didapat nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR) untuk tanah asli sebesar 0,4%. Untuk tanah asli + 2% semen sebesar 1%. Untuk tanah asli + 4% semen sebesar 3%. Untuk tanah asli + 6% semen sebesar 3,4%. Untuk tanah asli + 8% semen sebesar 8%. Dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kenaikan nilai CBR unsoaked tertinggi terjadi pada penambahan variasi campuran 8% semen.
