Abstract

A partir de 1994, el Dpto. Académico de Comunicación Social de la UPSA está presentando Planes de Estudio renovados en las tres carreras que administra: Comunicación Social, Periodismo y Diseño Gráfico y Publicitario. La nueva orientación de las carreras la ubica en un nivel más acorde a la moderna práctica comunicacional. La carrera de Comunicación Social pretende lograr una intervención más profesional del comunicador en las organizaciones se fortalece en la planificación, la producción creativa, y el conocimiento de las nuevas tecnologías de la comunicación. Respaldados por indicadores obtenidos en un estudio de mercado sobre esta actividad, sus prioridades y proyecciones en el mercado laboral, el nuevo Plan de Estudio pretende formar un tipo de comunicador entre estratega de la comunicación y productor artístico. Sin relegar el área humanística, selecciona de ella materias que contribuyen al conocimiento de las bases socio-culturales e histórico-políticas de la sociedad boliviana e internacional.
