Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación se desarrolló con el propósito de analizar el apetito, tolerancia y capacidad de riesgos, basado en la revisión de autores como Anderson y Frigo (2020), Deloitte (2018), COSO (2017), International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) (2018), PWC (2017), Rodríguez (2020), entre otros. Desde el punto de vista metodológico se realizó una investigación de tipo analítica y el diseño fue analítico documental, donde se consultaron diferentes autores para extraer las definiciones y características comunes hasta lograr la saturación teórica, dando paso a la eliminación de textos o referencias que no cumplían con los requerimientos de la investigación o estaban duplicados, para posteriormente efectuar la triangulación, lo cual generó el aporte de una postura propia de los investigadores. Los resultados indican que el apetito de riesgos se relaciona con la estrategia y el logro de los objetivos definidos, mientras que la tolerancia está relacionada con un nivel táctico – operacional, la cual debe ser identificada para el seguimiento de objetivos a corto plazo. Por su parte la capacidad de riesgos debe identificarse de manera cuantitativa para lograr determinar el monto máximo que la empresa estaría dispuesta a aceptar como una posible pérdida financiera en caso de materializarse los riesgos. Esta investigación da cuenta de una propuesta para abordar cada uno de estos conceptos como un aporte a la gestión de riesgos empresariales desde un punto de vista cualitativo y cuantitativo para su abordaje a ser aplicado en una organización.
