Planejamento e gestão da orla marítima de Salvador (BA)

Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar as estratégias e as ações governamentais voltadas ao espaço litorâneo de Salvador, entre 1970 e 2016, destacando o Programa de Requalificação Urbano-Ambiental da Orla Marítima de Salvador, iniciado em 2013, nos bairros da Ribeira, da Barra e do Rio Vermelho. Foi adotado como base teórica um modelo de análise para o planejamento e a gestão da orla marítima de Salvador. Em termos metodológicos, foram realizadas análise bibliográfica e documental, pesquisa de campo e aplicação de entrevistas. Os resultados apontaram que a maioria das ações dos governos subnacionais na orla de Salvador não seguiu a política costeira nacional e contribuiu para a segregação socioespacial e para a organização desigual do seu espaço litorâneo.
