El Monismo de Freud

El Monismo de Freud

Abstract

Abstract: In the Project of a Psychology for Neurologists Freud proposes a reductionist project of psychic phenomena, a project that we could classify as a reductive monism of materialistic way. However, it has been pointed out repeatedly that Freud lay away this program and that this neglect happens already in 1900 with his work. The interpretation of the dreams. I think that such neglect does not occur, or at least not in the way that the majority of commentators suppose, and that if there is any change in the later development of his work, it is never a lay away of his monistic conception. My aim in this paper is demonstrate that the only two possible interpretations of Freudian metapsychology are either a reductionistic monism which corresponds to its original project or that of a non-reductionist monism in the style of anomalous monism held by Davidson.
