Prywatne przedszkole w Łabuniach w latach 1933-1936

Abstract

Przedszkole w Łabuniach założył właściciel majątku Łabunie hr. Aleksander Szeptycki. Prowadziły je siostry Franciszkanki Misjonarki Maryi. Szczególne więzy, łączyły Szeptyckich z siostrami tego Zgromadzenia. Rodzina ta w czasie I-szej Wojny Światowej została wypędzona do Rosji. Osiadła w Odessie, bez środków do życia. Tam zaopiekowały się nią właśnie siostry F.M.M. Po powrocie do kraju Szeptycki chciał się odwdzięczyć siostrom. Podjął nawet starania w Rzymie, by sprowadzić to zgromadzenie do Łabuń. Ale w 1922 r. do Łabuń przybyły z Odessy trzy siostry wypędzone stamtąd przez bolszewików. Nie miały obywatelstwa polskiego. Szeptycki w dowód wdzięczności ofiarował na rzecz Zgromadzenia pałac z parkiem i ziemią orną. Sam zamieszkał w skromnym dworku. Na mocy umowy z Szeptyckim zadaniem sióstr było prowadzeni ochronki.
