A COLONIALIDADE DO SABER NO ACERVO DAS BIBLIOTECAS DO INSTITUTO FEDERAL FARROUPILHA

Abstract

Este estudo analisa a colonialidade do saber no acervo de três bibliotecas do Instituto Federal Farroupilha (IFFAR), mapeando a representatividade racial, de gênero e epistêmica em livros de História, Arte, Religião e Literatura, sob uma perspectiva decolonial e interseccional. Para atingir os objetivos propostos, o trabalho adota uma abordagem mista, combinando métodos quantitativos e qualitativos. Os resultados indicam a hegemonia de autores brancos, com baixa presença de autoras negras e ausência de autores dissidentes de gênero. Além disso, as temáticas analisadas refletem uma predominância eurocêntrica, excluindo epistemologias indígenas e afrocentradas. Essa exclusão epistêmica evidencia a urgência de revisar as políticas institucionais de acervo, assegurando sua conformidade com diretrizes educacionais, como as Leis nº 10.639/2003 e 11.645/2008. Conclui-se que a ampliação da diversidade autoral e temática nas bibliotecas dos Institutos Federais é fundamental para a construção de um espaço educacional mais inclusivo, equitativo e alinhado à diversidade cultural e social brasileira.
