Abstract

La humanización de los cuidados de enfermería representa mucho más que un enfoque agregado: constituye el alma misma de la profesión. En un contexto donde la atención sanitaria se enfrenta al reto del avance tecnológico, los marcos de eficiencia y reducción de costes, es imperativo recordar que cada intervención enfermera trasciende el simple tratamiento: implica acompañamiento, dignidad, empatía y presencia. El arte de cuidar desde una perspectiva humanizadora se sostiene sobre pilares esenciales: una relación de confianza, una mirada integral del paciente –atendiendo su dimensión emocional y cultural–, y una comunicación cálida y respetuosa. Las pacientes establecen vínculos afectivos cuando perciben cordialidad, trato amable, escucha activa, empatía, solidaridad y respeto por costumbres y creencias. Este tipo de cuidados no solo optimiza la experiencia del paciente, sino que también favorece su confianza y bienestar.
