Abstract

Den irakiske opprørsbevegelsen oppsto som en reaksjon på det amerikanske nærværet i Irak, og den amerikanske tilbaketrekningen representerer dermed et eksistensielt dilemma for opprørsbevegelsen. Deler av bevegelsen har forsøkt å løse dette dilemmaet ved å fokusere på mer politiske virkemidler.
