Violencia digital y afectiva en redes sociales

Abstract

En la actualidad, la conectividad supone muchas ventajas para interactuar sin importar el lugar donde nos encontremos. Sin embargo, las redes sociales se convirtieron en un espacio donde proliferan diferentes formas de violencia digital y afectiva. Por lo tanto, estas acciones fomentan el acoso en el ciberespacio y establecen nuevas interacciones dentro de las redes sociales que pueden ser manipuladoras o dañinas emocionalmente. Estas acciones se relacionan con la anonimidad y la inmediatez de la información dentro de redes sociales. Tomando esto en cuenta, se analizó la percepción y el grado de conocimiento que poseen internautas del sur de México, sobre la violencia digital y afectiva en redes sociales y mensajería instantánea. Para esto se utilizó un enfoque mixto, de tipo exploratorio-transversal, mediante cuatro dimensiones: conocimiento, riesgo, exposición a la amenaza y concientización sobre mecanismos legales. Se identificó que la mayor parte de los usuarios interactúan en Facebook y WhatsApp. Por otro lado, los términos más reconocidos fueron stalking, ciberbullyng, ghosting, gossip, stalking, ciberbullyng, frexting, gromming y catfish. Adicionalmente, más la mitad de los participantes mencionaron que estuvieron expuestos a estos tipos de violencia. Sin en embargo, se detectó que los usuarios tienen una incidencia regular sobre el marco jurídico mexicano que resguarda los derechos en los ambientes virtuales.
