Aprendizaje situado aplicado a estudiantes del primer año de universidad

Abstract

El primer año en la universidad es importante para que los estudiantes se interesen en su campo de estudios y forjen su camino profesional. Sin embargo, muchas veces esto no ocurre pues no se sienten atraídos por el material formativo. El aprendizaje situado aumentado con material multimedia permite exponer al estudiante a escenarios significativos que pueden favorecer su interés de manera temprana. Se aplicó un diseño cuasi experimental con pre y post test y grupo de control a una muestra de 62 estudiantes para observar el efecto de utilizar contenido situado digital como apoyo al aprendizaje de estudiantes del primer año en la universidad. Se encontró que los estudiantes que utilizaron contenido situado digital multimedia incrementaron su aprovechamiento en mayor medida que el grupo de control, además de que los estudiantes del grupo experimental mostraron mayor interés por interactuar con material educativo en diferentes medios digitales. En este sentido, incorporar material educativo digital y multimedia con características situacionales que permitan al estudiante de primer año de universidad experimentar escenarios significativos, mejora sus resultados de aprendizaje y ayuda a que se adapten mejor al proceso educativo.
