Terapi Integrasi Akupunktur dan Obat Medis Untuk Kasus Serangan Stroke

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Serangan stroke merupakan situasi darurat yang dapat mengakibatkan sel otak dapat mati hanya dalam hitungan menit, sehingga bagian tubuh yang dikontrol oleh bagian otak yang rusak akan kehilangan fungsinya. Terapi medis kurang berhasil menghambat masalah darurat tersebut, maka diperlukan terapi komplementer. Tujuan: Studi ini bertujuan melaporkan satu kasus serangan stroke pertamakali dengan hipertensi dan berhasil diperbaiki kondisinya menggunakan terapi pengobatan medis dan akupunktur berdasarkan diagnosis TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Metode: Studi ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif laporan kasus serangan stroke yang diterapi dalam praktik kami. Terapi yang diberikan berupa pengobatan medis dan akupunktur berdasarkan diagnosis sindrom TCM. Penilaian hasil terapi berdasarkan kondisi klinis penderita dan hasil pemeriksaan tekanan darah yang dilakukan kepada pasien di rumahnya saat terjadi serangan stroke. Hasil: Kasus seorang wanita dewasa, usia 52 tahun yang telah terkena serangan stroke pertama kali dengan kelumpuhan pada tubuh sebelah kanan dari muka yang pelo, tangan tidak bisa digerakkan, tubuh kaku, kaki kanan tidak bisa diangkat dan setelah di ukur tekanan darahnya adalah 180/90 mmHg, dimana sebelumnya pasien ini cenderung memiliki tekana darah rendah berkisar diangka 90/60mmHg. Diagnosis TCM adalah sindrom defisiensi qi dan xue organ hati. Setelah diterapi dengan akupunktur dan terapi medis pada saat kejadian, secara perlahan-lahan dalam waktu 15 menit muka yang pelo membaik, tangan dan kaki bisa digerakkan. Keluhan kaku dan tubuh sebelah kanan terasa berat mereda, tekanan darah turun menjadi 120/80mmHg. Kesimpulan: Serangan stroke dapat diperbaiki dengan menggunakan kombinasi terapi medis dan terapi akupunktur yang sesuai berdasarkan diagnosis TCM yang tepat.
