Construção de protótipo para estudo de drenagem em solos arenosos

Abstract

Com o intuito de simular problemas didáticos de drenagem em sala de aula, foi construído um protótipo de maciço arenoso com drenos verticais ligados a um coletor, em uma caixa de acrílico de 0,3 X 0,3 X 1,0 m, no Laboratório de Solos e Geologia da Uninove. Em seu interior, foram executados cinco drenos verticais, utilizando-se mangueiras de uma polegada de diâmetro envoltas por manta de geotêxtil. As mangueiras foram solidarizadas por tubo coletor, também de uma polegada de diâmetro, envolto em camada de geotêxtil e contido em tapete drenante de solo pedregulhoso. Executaram-se ensaios de distribuição granulométrica e coeficiente de permeabilidade para solo arenoso e pedregulhoso, a fim de caracterizá-los. Para avaliação do sistema, saturou-se o solo arenoso e verificou-se a vazão do sistema de drenos, coletando-se a água drenada e registrando- se o tempo. Quanto ao objetivo – simular problemas de drenagem em solos arenosos –, o protótipo apresentou-se como ferramenta eficiente para aulas de Drenagem e Mecânica dos Solos no curso de Engenharia Civil.
