Estudo da estabilidade de pequenas barragens de terra compactadas em três teores de umidade

Abstract

Nesta pesquisa, apresentam-se os fatores de segurança para aterros compactados com solo residual de diabásio. Para a determinação desses fatores, foram simula¬das duas seções hipotéticas de barragens com altura de 5 metros (m) e presença de elementos drenantes e filtrantes. Com o intuito de simular condições de baixo controle de compactação, estudaram-se as seções nos seus teores ótimos de com¬pactação e em valores 4% acima e abaixo desse valor. As análises de estabilidade foram realizadas na Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos (USP), utilizando-se os programas computacionais: Slope/W, para a determinação dos fatores de se¬gurança; e Seep/W, com o objetivo de determinar a linha freática no interior de cada aterro simulado. Os resultados demonstraram a variação da estabilidade dos aterros estudados, de acordo com a umidade de compactação, e que as incli¬nações de taludes sugeridas pela literatura são conservativas.
