A aspiração nasotraqueal e suas possíveis intercorrências durante o procedimento em adultos

Abstract

A aspiração nasotraqueal é um recurso invasivo que visa a remover secreções traqueobrônquicas e a viabilizar a ventilação pulmonar. O objetivo deste estudo é verificar, na prática clínica, as reações, as alterações dos sinais vitais e a evolução dos pacientes por meio da técnica aspirativa; para isso, foram feitas duas avaliações – uma antes do procedimento e outra dez minutos após – da freqüência cardíaca (FC) e respiratória (FR) e da pressão arterial de 40 indivíduos. A FR aumentou, em média, de 28 para 30 respirações por minuto (RPM) (P=0,05). Durante o procedimento, 22 pacientes apresentaram dispnéia; 18, taquipnéia; 17, cianose, e 15, agitação. Quanto à evolução dos pacientes, 15 receberam alta hospitalar, 11 entraram em óbito, cinco foram transferidos de unidade hospitalar, quatro receberam alta hospitalar depois de terem sido submetidos a ventilação mecânica, e um que necessitou de ventilação mecânica mas acabou por entrar em óbito. Concluímos que a aspiração nasotraqueal apresentou-se como uma ferrametna de higiene brônquica segura e de fácil realização.
