Abstract

Consideraciones previas Clasificación de la FA: Primer episodio detectado de FA: asintomático o sintomático. FA paroxística: FA autolimitada a ≤7 días (habitualmente en las primeras 48 h). FA persistente: FA >7 días. FA persistente de larga duración: FA ≥1 año y se decide realizar cardioversión. FA permanente: FA ≥1 año y se descarta controlar el ritmo sinusal. FA aislada: FA en pacientes ≤60 años sin valvulopatías ni FR embolígenos. FA no valvular: FA sin estenosis mitral moderada o severa ni prótesis valvular mecánica.
