Abstract

<p>En los últimos quince años la educación secundaria ha sido objeto de investigaciones, discusiones y producciones académicas, como así también de políticas educativas y curriculares. Las caracterizaciones sobre el agotamiento de su formato y las dificultades para reconstruir su propia identidad son los puntos de partida que este texto toma para arrojar nuevas líneas de estudio.</p><p>Este libro analiza qué ocurre en las escuelas secundarias que logran mantener sus matrículas de primero a quinto año, con bajos índices de repitencia y abandono, y con buenas tasas de promoción, cuyos estudiantes pertenecen a sectores sociales vulnerados, en un contexto nacional en que el 50% de los y las jóvenes abandonan la escuela secundaria. Para ello, se construyen datos que son considerados desde un mapa analítico ecléctico ubicado en el campo del currículum que articula perspectivas poscríticas, como el posmodernismo, el posestructuralismo y el poscolonialismo. Así, uno de los propósitos de este libro es generar aportes que enriquezcan la investigación curricular en educación secundaria desde esta mirada.</p>
