QUAIS SÃO AS AFECÇÕES OFTALMOLÓGICAS MAIS PREVALENTES EM UTI NEONATAL?

Abstract

RESUMO – Racional: Várias afecções oculares podem ser prevenidas ou diagnosticadas clinicamente nas primeiras horas ou dias de vida. Objetivo: Verificar a prevenção das doenças oculares neonatais e suas incidências em UTI neonatal. Métodos: Análise de prontuários de puérperas e recém-natos em UTI neonatal no período de um mês, verificando: comorbidade materna, número de consultas pré-natais, idade gestacional, via de parto, presença de sofrimento fetal peri ou intraparto, Apgar e peso ao nascer, leucocorias (pelo teste do reflexo vermelho ocular), conjuntivites neonatais (pela inspeção/cultura ocular) e retinopatia da prematuridade (por exame de fundo de olho). Resultados: 15 recém-natos foram internados devido à prematuridade, baixo peso ou intercorrências intraparto. Destes, 4 apresentaram secreção ocular e 3 retinopatias da prematuridade no período neonatal. Mães dos recém-natos com alterações oculares realizaram consultas pré-natais insuficientes, média de 3. Conclusão: Prevenção e detecção precoce das doenças oculares mostraram-se efetivas em UTI neonatal, reduzindo o número de casos/complicações, mostrando a importância desse cuidado.
