Abstract

Nye perspektiver på menneskerettigheter, sosial ulikhet og sosial rettferdighet undersøker og begrunner behovet for nytenkning rundt sosial ulikhet og rettferdighet i dagens samfunn. Antologien fremhever nødvendigheten av å utvikle nye forståelser og strategier som anerkjenner sammenhengen mellom sosiale determinanter og hva som kan fremme helse og velvære. Et paradigmeskifte kreves, med en ny politikk, et utvidet kunnskapsgrunnlag og alternative praksiser. Norske velferdsstrukturer og den globale sosiale situasjonen er i dramatisk endring. Forfatterne skildrer behovet for nye perspektiver for å støtte marginaliserte, ekskluderte og sårbare grupper, samtidig som de analyserer hvilke sosiale, økonomiske og økologiske utfordringer – både nasjonalt og internasjonalt – som påvirker disse utviklingene. Kapitlene belyser mønstre og drivkrefter som former tjeneste- og profesjonsomstillinger, samt nye forståelser av sosial rettferdighet. Boken spenner vidt og forener ulike bidrag som belyser hvordan utviklingen av sosial ulikhet påvirker mennesker, og hva som kreves for å oppnå økt rettferdighet. Gjennom vitenskapelig kvalitet, nysgjerrighet og engasjement formidles oppdatert forskning, tydelige konklusjoner og handlingsorienterte anbefalinger.
