Los límites entre el complemento de régimen y el complemento circunstancial

Abstract

Este artículo constituye una revisión de los conceptos de complemento de régimen y complemento circunstancial. Se presentan una serie de criterios sintácticos para identificar estos constituyentes, que presentan en ocasiones una estructura aparentemente semejante. El objetivo es mostrar cómo la teoría de la predicación facilita la enseñanza de esta parcela del sistema lingüístico, a través del análisis de estructuras breves y sencillas. La reflexión gramatical que se plantea está fundamentada en dos publicaciones académicas: la Nueva gramática de la lengua española (NGLE) y el Glosario de términos gramaticales (GTG). Este artículo presenta, en primer lugar, una caracterización del complemento de régimen y el complemento circunstancial, a partir de las nociones semánticas de predicado, argumento y adjunto. En la segunda parte, abordaremos las fronteras borrosas de esta clasificación, que no siempre permite identificar con claridad los constituyentes. Por último, planteamos modelos de ejercicios y actividades que permiten reflexionar sobre estas funciones sintácticas, siguiendo las recomendaciones para el aprendizaje de la gramática en secundaria y bachillerato de Gallego y Bosque (2016).
