Políticas y prácticas inclusivas para estudiantes extranjeros en contextos de neoliberalismo avanzado: paradojas y contrasentidos del caso emblemático chileno

Abstract

Este trabajo sistematiza y analiza críticamente la experiencia de inclusión de estudiantes extranjeros en escuelas del sistema educativo chileno, caso emblemático de neoliberalismo avanzado. Mediante una investigación con perspectiva etnográfica realizada en seis centros públicos en los últimos seis años, los resultados proponen un conjunto de barreras y de facilitadores resultantes del trabajo autodidacta de las escuelas. Las discusiones apuntan a evidenciar las tensiones que emergen de la confluencia en el espacio académico de principios educativos neoliberales con políticas y programas de inclusión para estudiantes de origen extranjero. A través de la experiencia de este conjunto de instituciones participantes, las reflexiones finales ofrecen una lectura crítica de dicha convergencia, sus repercusiones en el quehacer cotidiano de las escuelas, así como los desafíos pendientes en materia de políticas educativas inclusivas.
