Implicaciones de la inteligencia artificial generativa en la narrativa y la estética cinematográfica: un estudio sobre las convocatorias OpenDocs y +RAIN Film Festival

Abstract

La integración de la inteligencia artificial generativa (IAG) en el ámbito cinematográfico, especialmente a través de medios audiovisuales sintéticos basados en aprendizaje profundo, ha abierto nuevas vías para la exploración de narrativas y estéticas innovadoras. Este estudio analiza cómo los creadores de cine utilizan la IAG para transformar los paradigmas narrativos y visuales en la producción de cortometrajes, enfocándose en dos convocatorias recientes: OpenDocs y +RAIN Film Festival. Mediante un análisis cualitativo de 295 proyectos, se identificaron diversas aplicaciones de la IAG, desde la generación de contenido inédito hasta la modificación de obras previas, así como las herramientas más empleadas y los flujos de trabajo emergentes. Los resultados muestran que la IAG no solo optimiza procesos técnicos y reduce costos, sino que también expande las posibilidades creativas, lo que permite la generación de narrativas complejas y estéticamente ricas. Sin embargo, también se destacan desafíos éticos y técnicos, como la autenticidad del contenido, los sesgos inherentes a los modelos de IA y el impacto en el empleo dentro del sector audiovisual. Las conclusiones subrayan la necesidad de llevar a cabo un desarrollo tecnológico responsable y la implementación de marcos éticos que guíen el uso de la IAG en el cine. Este estudio contribuye a promover la literatura existente proporcionando una visión integral de las aplicaciones y los retos de la IAG en la narrativa y la estética cinematográfica, y sugiere direcciones futuras para investigaciones que aborden tanto las oportunidades como las implicaciones éticas de esta tecnología emergente.
