Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe strategies for improving employee performance in an company. The qualitative research method uses the Grounded Theory approach from Arnoldo C. Hax & Nicholas S regarding strategy and from Mangkunegara regarding employee performance. Data collection techniques with documentation studies. Data processing techniques with reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity technique with source triangulation. The results of the research show: (1) strategy is a way to solve and improve a problem. (2) employee performance is the result of work shown by employees while working. (3) employee performance improvement strategy is a way that companies do to improve employee performance which can be done by: holding company work meetings to evaluate and provide work direction to employees, providing training to increase hard and soft skills of employees, providing motivation to increase willingness employee work, as well as by giving awards that can influence employee motivation and work productivity.
