Enjeux de la planification territoriale en Europe

Abstract

Les dynamiques territoriales de l'étalement urbain, de la croissance et de la décroissance démographique, de la globalisation économique ainsi que de la démocratisation de l'action publique font appel à une conception sollicitant un grand nombre de disciplines et d'expériences locales. La notion de planification territoriale interroge l'efficacité des approches et des processus ainsi que l'articulation de différentes échelles spatiales. Comment imaginer, anticiper et organiser les territoires urbains en mutations permanentes? Cet ouvrage collectif propose une lecture et une analyse comparée d'expériences de planification grâce à des études de cas spécifiques dans quatre pays européens: la France, l'Italie, la Grande-Bretagne et l'Allemagne. Cet ouvrage poursuit en outre trois objectifs: définir et comprendre le concept de planification territoriale; présenter les évolutions nationales dans les quatre pays retenus; exposer un certain nombre d'études de cas pour tirer des enseignements concrets des approches locales en Europe.
