Rendimiento escolar: influencia del tipo de jornada escolar y algunas variables sociales relevantes

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se estudia la influencia del tipo de jornada sobre el rendimiento escolar que presentan los niños. Este estudio se realiza para intentar aportar datos a un tema que en la actualidad preocupa a la comunidad escolar y sobre el que no hemos encontrado aproximaciones experimentales desde nuestra comunidad autónoma. Tras estudiar seis colegios distintos, tres con jornada partida y tres con jornada continuada, al menos los resultados de esta primera investigación parecen indicar que el tipo de jornada no incide de manera relevante sobre el rendimiento. Por otra parte, y en consonancia con otras investigaciones, se encuentra que los factores socio-culturales sí influyen sobre el rendimiento.
