Abstract

El tratamiento de la necrosis pulpar en dentición primaria representa un desafío debido a las consideraciones anatómicas de los conductos radiculares de los dientes primarios y al manejo de la conducta del paciente pediátrico. Se ha descrito el tratamiento por medio de la esterilización de lesión y reparación del tejido pulpar (ELRP) con el uso de combinación de tres antibióticos de amplio espectro para la obturación de pulpotomía no instrumentada para preservar los dientes primarios. Objetivo: Describir la evolución de dientes primarios con necrosis pulpar tratados con ELRP. Presentación de los casos: Se presentan de 4 pacientes pediátricos los cuales acuden a consulta, por presentar dolor y aumento de volumen intraoral. El examen clínico y radiográfico se diagnostica absceso dentoalveolar en molares primarios. El tratamiento realizado fue pulpotomía con técnica ELRP, y rehabilitación con vidrio ionomérico o con corona metálica preformada mediante la técnica de Hall. Conclusión: En los casos presentados, el tratamiento de molares primarios con pulpa necrótica se realizó de forma exitosa con la técnica ELRP, teniendo como resultado la preservación de las funciones en la dentición primaria.
