Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui konsep geometri matematika yang terdapat pada kerajinan gerabah Desa Banyumulek dan bentuk soal matematika yang relevan berdasarkan konsep geometri matematika yang ditemukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis etnografi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Banyumulek, Kecamatan Kediri, Lombok Barat, NTB. Hasil pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada gerabah (piring, gelas, cobek, kekete, kendi, selao, perapen, penyiong kupi, pot kembang) terdapat konsep geometri matematika dalam beberapa gerabah tersebut, yaitu: bangun ruang sisi lengkung dan bangun datar. Konsep geometri bangun datar bentuk lingkaran ada pada bagian alas piring, gelas, cobek dan bagian atas pada kendi dan selao. Sedangkan bangun ruang bentuk tabung terdapat pada gelas, bentuk setengah bola pada kekete dan penyiong kupi, bentuk kerucut terpacung pada selao, kendi, dan pot kembang. Bentuk soal matematika yang relevan terdapat pada meteri geometri bangun ruang di kelas IX SMP/MTs, sedangkan bangun datar terdapat di kelas VII dan VIII SMP/MTs.
