Abstract

Penyakit infeksi disebabkan oleh jamur, ada beberapa jamur yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit infeksi pada manusia diantaranya Candida albicans dan Malassezia furfur. Bunga kembang sepatu (Hibiscus rosa - sinensis L.) memiliki efek antijamur karena mengandung flavanoid, fenol dan alkaloid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Mengetahui aktivitas antijamur ekstrak etanol bunga kembang sepatu (Hibiscus rosa -sinensis L.) dengan konsentrasi 60%, 70%, dan 80% terhadap Candida albicans dan Malassezia furfur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik eksperimental. Sampel penelitian ini adalah bunga kembang sepatu (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L) yang diekstraksi menggunakan etanol 96% dengan hasil randemen 19% serta dilakukan skrining fitokimia yang positif flavanoid, fenol dan alkaloid. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian aktivitas antijamur menggunakan metode sumuran menggunakan jamur Candida albicans dan Malassezia furfur dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 60%, 70%, 80% dengan pembanding positif ketokonazol dan pembanding negatif DMSO. Serta analisis data yang digunakan yaitu One-Way Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas antijamur ekstrak etanol bunga kembang sepatu dengan konsentrasi 60% memiliki zona hambat 14,7 mm, konsentrasi 70% memiliki zona hambat 15,2 mm dan konsentrasi 80% memiliki zona hambat 15,1 mm dengan kategori kuat, pada jamur Candida albicans. Sedangkan Aktivitas antijamur ekstrak etanol bunga kembang sepatu dengan konsentrasi 60%, 70% dan 80% pada jamur Malassezia furfur memiliki zona hambat 0,00 mm dengan kategori lemah. Diharapkan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut menggunakan bakteri dan jamur yang berbeda, serta pengujian fraksi bunga kembang sepatu (Hibiscus rosa- sinensis L.).
