Abstract

Kebersihan kulit telah menjadi kebutuhan setiap orang untuk terhindar dari bakteri, virus serta sel kulit mati. Salah satu bahan pembersih kulit adalah scrub. Pada umumnya scrub di gunakan hanya untuk mengangkat sel kulit mati, maka dibutuhkan inovasi scrub yang dapat melindungi kulit dari bakteri. Salah satu bahan yang dipercaya sebagai anti bakteri alami adalah Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). VCO mengandung asam-asam lemak jenuh diantaranya Medium Chain fatty Acid (MCFA) dan Medium Chain Trygliserida (MCT). MCFA yang berupa asam laurat mempunyai sifat antivirus, antibakteri, antiprotozoa dan kini sedang dikembangkan sebagai antivirus Human Immunideficiency Virus (HIV). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formulasi sediaan scrub antibakteri dengan bentuk yang menarik, yang disebut dengan herbal candy sugar scrub antibakteria dengan VCO sebagai zat aktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekperimental laboratorium dengan konsentrasi vco 10%, 15%, dan 20% di buat dalam sediaan herbal candy sugar scrub antibakteria. Dilakukan uji stabilitas sediaan meliputi uji organoleptik, uji pH, uji stabilitas busa, dan uji kesuakaan, serta uji aktivitas antibakteri. Pada konsentrasi VCO 10% zona hambat rata-rata yang dihasilkan sebesar 20mm. Pada konsentrasi VCO 15% zona hambat rata-rata yang dihasilkan sebesar 20mm. Pada konsentrasi VCO 20% zona hambat rata-rata yang dihasilkan sebesar 21mm. berdasarkan hasil pengukuran rata-rata zona hambat VCO terhadap bakteri S. aureus Menunjukan bahwa sediaan herbal candy sugar scrub antibakteri memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang kuat serta serta sediaan dengan zona hambat paling kuat yaitu pada konsentrasi VCO 20% dengan rata-rata diameter zona hambat 21mm.
