Del Espacio Colectivo a la exclusión social: La Avenida Vicuña Mackenna bajo el neoliberalismo chileno

Abstract

El siguiente artículo constituye un trabajo de memoria que, a partir de testimonios vivos, traza un recorrido histórico por el entramado social forjado en Chile en los últimos 50 años. Se analizan las transformaciones socioespaciales de la Avenida Vicuña Mackenna en la Región Metropolitana de Santiago, visualizando cómo las reformas neoliberales de la dictadura de Pinochet desde 1973 impactaron en las relaciones sociales y el espacio urbano. Mediante una metodología innovadora, se recopilaron testimonios de actores históricos del cordón industrial de los años 70 y de personas en situación de calle, contrastando la solidaridad de clase del gobierno de Allende con las dinámicas actuales de fragmentación y exclusión.
