Abstract

<p>La comunicaci&oacute;n y la pol&iacute;tica constituyen dos esferas amplias y complejas que van unidas en el an&aacute;lisis de la realidad social. Un marco anal&iacute;tico adecuado debe captar las relaciones entre las estructuras institucionales, los actores y el contexto cultural en el que los medios de comunicaci&oacute;n han generado nuevas formas y contenidos pol&iacute;ticos. Adem&aacute;s de una perspectiva hist&oacute;rica, ligada al desarrollo de las tecnolog&iacute;as de la informaci&oacute;n, se precisa un enfoque transdisciplinar. La ciencia pol&iacute;tica, la teor&iacute;a de la comunicaci&oacute;n, la econom&iacute;a o la sociolog&iacute;a debieran debatir en com&uacute;n las din&aacute;micas espec&iacute;ficamente comunicativas que marcan los procesos pol&iacute;ticos contempor&aacute;neos.</p> <p>Con este estudio se busca aportar datos acerca del consumo de informaci&oacute;n-de la televisi&oacute;n, radio y prensa escrita- y su incidencia en las valoraciones, preferencias y actitudes pol&iacute;ticas. El inter&eacute;s reside en aportar informaci&oacute;n que permita testar la tesis ya cl&aacute;sica del mantenimiento de la distancia social respecto al acceso a la informaci&oacute;n. Esta tesis sostiene que, a medida que se asciende por los estratos de la estructura social, el consumo de informaci&oacute;n aumenta y se diversifican las fuentes que nutren el conocimiento pol&iacute;tico.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
