El tercer sector y el mercado

Abstract

<p>Las organizaciones solidarias han incrementado de manera significativa su tama&ntilde;o, sus recursos humanos y materiales as&iacute; como su presencia en la esfera p&uacute;blica en los &uacute;ltimos a&ntilde;os, llamando la atenci&oacute;n sobre lo que se ha dado en llamar el Tercer Sector. La sociolog&iacute;a ha empezado a responder a las demandas de estudio de este espacio social, poco trabajado hasta ahora. Sin embargo, y salvo excepciones, ha demostrado grandes limitaciones para entenderlo de suyo, sin relacionarlo con el Estado y el Mercado. Los problemas de definici&oacute;n de un sector que es privado pero orientado hacia lo p&uacute;blico se han agravado todav&iacute;a m&aacute;s cuando muchas ONG han comenzado a utilizar m&eacute;todos m&aacute;s propios de las empresas privadas que los tradicionalmente empleados por las entidades no lucrativas.</p> <p>En esta obra, partiendo de un tipo espec&iacute;fico de ONG (las ONG para el desarrollo), se ofrece un marco de an&aacute;lisis para el estudio de la cultura en las organizaciones del Tercer Sector. Se atiende al conflicto cultural derivado de la introducci&oacute;n de una l&oacute;gica institucional proveniente del Mercado y que se define como percolaci&oacute;n cultural. La percolaci&oacute;n cultural se manifiesta en la competencia entre dos culturas que institucionalizan pr&aacute;cticas diferentes en el seno de las organizaciones y en su personal y es analizada en los planos macro, meso y microsociol&oacute;gico utilizando para ello una completa metodolog&iacute;a.</p>
