La movilidad ocupacional de las mujeres en España

Abstract

<p>Este libro explora de manera detallada las peculiaridades y diferencias de los procesos de movilidad de los hombres y las mujeres de nuestro pa&iacute;s, evaluando emp&iacute;ricamente la importancia de los distintos factores que explican aquellos. A trav&eacute;s de este examen se viene a demostrar que la movilidad femenina s&iacute; supone una diferencia con respecto a la movilidad masculina. Una diferencia que no implica simplemente discrepancias o variaciones con respecto a las pautas de la movilidad de los hombres, sino con respecto a las pautas de movilidad generales de la sociedad. Lo que est&aacute; en juego, pues, no es simplemente la cuesti&oacute;n de c&oacute;mo es la movilidad de las mujeres, sino la posibilidad misma de alcanzar una comprensi&oacute;n adecuada de los procesos de movilidad social y ocupacional que caracterizan a una sociedad dada. De esta manera, la inclusi&oacute;n de las mujeres en el an&aacute;lisis de la movilidad social viene a significar la puesta en cuesti&oacute;n del propio modelo de an&aacute;lisis de la movilidad social.</p>
