Se examina el origen de la ley en la Grecia clásica. Ello se hace sobre la base del funcionamiento de la ideología y tomando como ideografía la tragedia griega. El autor interpreta la tragedia griega como una fase intermedia entre el mito y el racionalismo político de los griegos. A partir de ahí señala la preponderancia que para los griegos tuvo la noción de ley natural como ley racional de la ciudad - no de los dioses ni tampoco de la voluntad caprichosa de los hombres.
