El artículo hace una revisión teórica respecto a la naturaleza de los llamados “partidos cártel” y analiza de qué manera podemos aseverar o no que sus rasgos caracterizan la mecánica actual de los partidos políticos en la circunstancia mexicana. This work makes a theoretical analysis about cartel parties, by defining its nature and capacities associated with democratic participation and representation. This study will allow to consider the ways and manners currently existing in the Mexican political parties to realize if they are already involved in such a practice.
