Mariposas Diurnas (Lepidóptera Rhopalocera) de La Ciudad De Guatemala

Abstract

Este estudio revela una inusual diversidad de mariposas diurnas en la ciudad de Guatemala, no solo desde la riqueza de especies sino también la ocurrencia de especies que frecuentemente solo son encontradas en zonas cálidas y húmedas o en bosques o selvas nubladas. Estas diversidad podría estar sostenida por la red de barrancos que generan un sistema que mantiene condiciones microclimáticas y de hábitat, así como de conexión entre los parches de bosque remanentes.
