Abstract

SR. DIRECTOR: La administracion de surfactante exogeno para el tratamiento del sindrome de distres respiratorio del neonato (SDRN) se conoce desde hace 3 decadas (1). Se han realizado ensayos clinicos en pacientes adultos con resultados controversiales, sin que se haya precisado la forma de administracion ni la dosis requerida de dicho producto (2). Les presentamos nuestra experiencia en el uso de surfactante natural porcino en un paciente masculino de 42 anos de edad con sindrome de distres respiratorio agudo (SDRA) secundario a la inhalacion accidental de solventes (acetona y tricloroacetileno) mientras pintaba el interior de un recipiente industrial sin medios de proteccion...
